SALON DISCUSSES CRITIQUE GROUPS: BENEFICIAL OR INTIMIDATING?

The Denver Woman’s Press Club (DWPC) kicks off a monthly literary salon series on Sunday, September 16, 3 to 5 p.m.  The topic is “Critique Groups: Beneficial or Intimidating?”  The free event is scheduled at the DWPC, 1325 Logan St, Denver.  Critique groups can be supportive, destructive, or mere coffee klatches.  Critiques themselves can be devastating or inspiring.   Three published authors host a discussion about what constitutes an effective group and what can be expected from members.  Participants will share their experiences and expectations.  Discussion leaders include Elizabeth Cook, author of two children’s books; Bonnie McCune, author of a women’s novel; and mystery writer Suzanne Young.  For information, call 303-839-1519 or 303-394-3710, or visit www.dwpconline.org
