December Holiday Party

Come celebrate CRW' and all the achievements of 2010!
This is our annual end of year holiday party and will again be a potluck, so please rsvp using this invitation and let me know what you are planning on bringing! I will publish the list on the CRW yahoo loop.

Critique group witn Channah and Louise at 10:30. Please bring 4 copies of 5 pages of your WIP for critique.

Lunch is at 12:00 with the celebration to follow!

SHARE THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT!

We think of Christmas as a time of love and hope, of family. But, sadly, it's also a time when domestic violence increases dramatically and many women and children find themselves in shelters with little more than the clothes on their backs. The shelter provides what they must have, but several years ago CRW members decided to share our blessings by giving the women and children at a local shelter [there’s only one in all of Adams County!] one or two small personal gifts or books to help lighten their burden even more, let them know they haven't been forgotten.

If you would like to contribute a gift--NEW please--to a woman or to a child, please bring it to our Holiday Potluck in December. Keep your gifts small because space and portability is important. Shelter guests will take their gifts with them when they leave. The gifts shouldn't be expensive...a book, a small basket of personal items a woman might enjoy, coloring books and crayons, stuffed animals, cars and trucks...use your imagination. Bring them wrapped and tagged with Woman, Boy or Girl and age of child, if appropriate. Older teenage girls can receive a gift a woman might enjoy, but let’s not forget the few older boys who need attention too.

I will deliver the gifts to the shelter in time for Christmas. Thank you for sharing your blessings
