At our meeting on January 9, 2016 we have a number of topics to discuss brought out on emails sent by members. Put on your thinking caps and add to the discussions about separating published and unpublished author meetings. Keep in mind most of our members are published. Several members are interested in cross-promotion. We need to discuss the PAL LOOP, and Lizzie Sue's mention of Amazon and Smash words preorder Schedule Release. I'm new at this job and realize I have an awesome group of previous presidents to follow. It's daunting to think of reaching their standards and accomplishments, but I have an active board and with them I'll do better than I thought. Hope I'll see you at our January meeting. Our program VP is working hard to give us the best programs possible. Our new VP of membership hopes to increase our numbers and bring current members to the meetings. The Denver Woman’s Press Club (DWPC) kicks off a monthly literary salon series on Sunday, September 16, 3 to 5 p.m. The topic is “Critique Groups: Beneficial or Intimidating?” The free event is scheduled at the DWPC, 1325 Logan St, Denver. Critique groups can be supportive, destructive, or mere coffee klatches. Critiques themselves can be devastating or inspiring.
